Prospective school board candidates

There are four (4) school board seats up for election in the May 2021 primary. To be eligible to be elected or appointed to a PA school board you must be: 
  • a U.S. citizen
  • at least 18 years old
  • of good moral character
  • a resident of the school district for at least one year prior to the date of the election or appointment.

borough council, east ward

To be eligible to run for the East Ward Borough Council seat in the 2021 primary, you must reside within this ward and be
  • a registered Democrat
  • at least 18 years old
  • a resident of the East Ward for at least one year
Borough Council meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Councilors are required to sit on multiple Committees. Learn more about Borough business and projects here.

Borough committees 

Committee members advise the Borough Council on a range of matters. Members are appointed or reappointed annually by the Borough Council for specific terms in office. Vacancies include:
